Comedy Programme
Magners are delighted to announce their new sponsorship of the Comedy Programme, as part of the Belfast Festival at Queen's. Magners brings to the festival a new sponsor, a fresh image and a passion to expand this association with comedy in Northern Ireland.
The Belfast Festival has a tradition going back to the 1970’s and has developed as one of the best-known events of its kind, presenting the very best of Irish, UK and International cultures each Autumn. The festival runs from 26 th - 31 st October and offers a host of disparate events to suit all tastes.
The Magners Comedy Programme as a major part of the whole Festival, will offer a varied programme of high profile well known popular comedy acts as well as some up and coming new comedians waiting to break into the international stage. Side splitting humour and tears of laughter are promised from acts such as the hilarious Colin Murphy, Channel 4’s Peep Show and Robin Ince’s book club!

“This event is perfect for the Magners brand which is all about taking time out for the better things in life. We hope people will come along to have a laugh while enjoying the refreshment of an ice-cold Magners over ice. Magners have secured a three-year deal for the sponsorship of this Comedy Festival and I, for one, am excited anticipating this unique partnership and programme.
“We will be supporting the Comedy Programme with heavy-weight activity in both the ‘on’ and ‘off license’ trade. We will also be arranging an official launch to tie in with the opening of the box office to release tickets for sale for the Magners Comedy Programme.”
The event will take place in a number of locations throughout Belfast, with most of the Comedy acts performing in the Waterfront Hall and the Whitla Hall.

The Magners Comedy Programme takes place from the 26 th – 31 st October. Details will be announced in August when the full programme is published.
